Camera & Imaging

The BW240-A3-SA-FL ships with three independently mounted Bright Wires 8MP IR bullet cameras, each fitted with a 2.8 mm wide-angle fixed lens. Together, the three-camera array provides comprehensive 360-degree perimeter coverage — eliminating blind spots across open sites. Each camera delivers clear 25–30 m infrared night vision, maintaining reliable imagery after dark without external lighting. The H.265+ codec produces high-resolution 4K (8 MP) video at significantly smaller file sizes than legacy standards, extending the effective capacity of the onboard SSD.

Active Deterrence & Alarm System

The BW240-A3-SA-FL goes beyond passive surveillance. Two outdoor PIR motion detectors continuously monitor the surrounding area. Upon detection, the system automatically activates dual red/blue LED alarm strobes and a pre-recorded speaker horn, providing an immediate and highly visible deterrent effect before an incident escalates. All alarm events are logged and can trigger push notifications via the Hik-Connect app, keeping site managers informed in real time regardless of location.

Connectivity & Remote Access

The system supports simultaneous 4G cellular and 2.4 GHz WiFi (802.11 N/G/B) connectivity, with a 12 dBi 4G antenna providing reliable signal in challenging environments. Only one SIM card is required for the entire three-camera system. Carrier bands cover Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and Australia — the system automatically selects the strongest available local operator. Remote live view and full playback from the onboard SSD can be accessed from any mobile device or PC via the Hik-Connect app. No static IP, port forwarding, or DDNS configuration is needed.

On-Board Storage & Recording

The integrated 1,024 GB solid-state Hikvision NVR eliminates dependency on cloud subscriptions and rotating hard-disk media. Recording can be configured in four priority modes: Manual, Alarm-triggered, Motion Detection, and Scheduled. The SSD’s fast read/write speeds enable smooth 4K playback directly from the device — remotely from any mobile phone or PC — and the system remains fully operational during network outages, continuously writing footage to local storage.

Solar Power System

Two 100 W monocrystalline solar panels (total 200 W) supply continuous power during daylight hours while simultaneously charging the battery bank. The aluminium alloy mounting bracket is corrosion-resistant and engineered for year-round outdoor exposure. A 20 A solar charge controller manages charge cycles to maximise battery longevity. The system is compatible with Lead-Acid, 18650 lithium-ion, and LiFePO4 chemistries; LiFePO4 at 12.8 V / 50–100 Ah is recommended for optimal cycle life and cold-weather performance.

SIM Card & Carrier Support

A data SIM card is included and pre-installed, providing the system with internet connectivity out of the box. 100 MB of complimentary data is provided for initial setup and testing. The system will automatically select the strongest local operator. Customers may substitute their own SIM card at any time. Supported carriers include AT&T and T-Mobile (USA), KPN, Hutchison 3G UK, O2, and E-Plus (Europe), and Optus (Australia).
